School of Bellydance.
Classes from September will be run as Levels-
Beginners-
For those with no previous bellydance experience. Suitable for anyone, but please check with your Gp before joining any exercise programme if you have any current health concerns, or joint problems.
Level 1-
Suitable for anyone who as attended a minimum of 12 wks beginners class, or had 3 hours of private lessons. A gentler paced class suited to those that just want to learn to bellydance for fun and health benefits and who enjoy the social aspect of meeting their friends in class.
Level 2-
For those who have a keen interest in the dance and in developing as a dancer, and those who would like to perform. Classes will focus on developing good technique, more challenging moves, strength building and gaining flexibility. Students in Level 2 will be invited to perform at any haflas (dance student partys) that come up during the term.
Classes as follows--
Beginners-
Beginners must attend 2 blocks or have had a minimum of 3hours private tuition before they can join a level 1 course.

Level 1.
Tuesday 1st December - 8.30-9.30pm Edmund Rd, Edmund Hall
Spondon.- £40 for 10 weeks. Bookings being taken now- 8 places available
Thursday 3rd December- 7-8pm Scills Community Centre, Sinfin. £40 for 10 weeks. Bookings being taken from now- 10 places available.
Classes will break for the Christmas half term holiday.
Level 2.
Monday 7th September 7-8pm at Scills Community Centre, Sinfin Derby
10week course £40. FULL
Unless otherwise stated all above courses are pay in block, and require booking in advance with a £10 non refundable deposit to secure place. No discounts are given for classes missed due to the student being on holiday etc. If you join 2 classes you get a £10 discount. Children may join any class from the age of 12years, if attending with a relative receive a £10 reduction as I count it as the relative paying for 2 classes. If attending alone full fee applies.
Technique Classes-
This is a drop in session, no pre booking required.
From September Technique workshops will be starting at 12.30am-1.30pm and will cost £5 per session, drop in. All held at Scills Community Centre, Sinfin.
Sunday 13th December- Pops and Locks - focusing on upper body as well as some hip work if get time!

Dancing at Desert Jewels Summer Hafla July 09- Sinfin Class
You do not need to show your belly to come to class! You wear whatever you feel comfortable in, we normally dance barefoot, but soft ballet style shoes can be worn. Bellydance is a great way to stay toned, meet new friends, have fun and exercise. There is always something going on in the bellydance community, whether its a show to watch or a chance to perform yourself, a workshop a party... come on and enter the fantastic world of bellydance.
